Jacob Kiplimo wins gold for Uganda in world cross country championships

Uganda opens 2026, Season with the Best performance ever at the World Cross Country Championships, in Tallahassee, Florida, USA.
They return with 7 Medals, the highest ever in our outings at the WXC.
2 Gold, 2 Silvers, and 3 Bronze.
Jacob Kiplimo defends his 10km Senior Men title, completing a historic back to back treble.
For the first time, the Junior women won a Team Gold medal spurred by Cherop charity who dug deep to win an individual Bronze.
Out of the 26 Athletes Uganda entered for the Championships, 22 of them returned with Medals, the biggest number ever.
At the back scene, Ugandas Beatrice Ayikoru served as a Technical Delegate at the prestigious tournament.
