Uganda Volleyball federation sends a contingent of 12 athletes to U20 Africa championships in Cameroon

The U20 Women's Volleyball National Team, The Nile-Queens, are excited during flag of by National Council of Sports as they Travel Tonight to Cameroon for the Africa U20 Championships. Uganda is looking to better it's last performance of 10th place in 2018 when they last appeared in Nairobi.
NCS Asst. Gen Secretary - Technical Mr. Chebet Milton flagged off the team and encouraged the young athletes to work hard in the wake of increased sports investment by Uganda. He also Applauded UVF for being organized, transparent and up-to-date with the new Sports Act requirements.
He pledged to forward the request to support men's U20 team that will also compete in the same competition in Cairo, Egypt September 2025. asked the participants to exercise team spirit and work for excellence. He also emphasized the need to remain focused on the game and manage excitement that could distract the team from reaching their goals.

Mr. Nasiwu Sadik, the President of UVF also thanked NCS for supporting volleyball and urged the players to put in their best efforts.
Nankya Annie the Senior Sports officer at NCS thanked schools and parents for the sacrifices made to give the girls an opportunity which they should take with open hands. She also advised the players who are in secondary school and universities to take both sports & education seriously in order to have a solid future.
